Last First day of Class...

I'm a senior in college... last first day of class... =] (kinda. there's next semester and w/e)
The worst thing about classes starting today was the realization that pleasure reading is over!! Hopefully I can finish my book and maybe the series (one more book) just on weekends... ugh...

Now... on to scheduleing my time. homework. work. workout. clean room/house. read-bible and fun books (not implying the bible isn't fun but... ya know) =]. movies. and w/e else happens to come up (such as concert with my graduation buddy) yep... lets figure out something so nothing gets left out... hmmm

Classes were good. Nothing too exciting. They are going to be fun, interesting and hard. Lots of practicums.

Other news in my life... not to complain but, wisdom teeth are lame. Mine are coming in (well one is, it has been working on it for the past 6 months or so lol) still not much progress, but it sure makes your mouth sore.

That's what I love about Sundays...

I had a great weekend. I saw my family and some old friends. Got  to hear my dad preach today. I love him preaching, and telling our story of Cleveland. Then got some chow!! Sunday BBQ's are awesome. =] (heard this song when I got in the car... I really do  love Sundays-- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pm3aCyRD3Vg )

Now, I'm all melancholy because the family is gone, won't see them for awhile and well...w/e

Classes start tomorrow. Let the work begin. Senior year... I'm excited to to be done but not looking forward to all the work. but... gotta put in the work...

[and there was something else I was going to say...and forgot... haha]

Coffee!!

Nothing like your favorite mug to have some tasty french press coffee   (if you don't know what french press is -->  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_press)  out of in the morning.
So there you go, that's the start of my day. Working and cleaning to do later. But for now, Coffee!!

Shipshape'N Bristol Fashion
This is one of my dad's coffee mugs from the Navy. And I  Love it. lol
So I asked if I could take it to school with me. of course he said yes. =]
Besides that it is Navy, I just like interesting coffee mugs.

Have a nice day and I hope you got your caffeine in this morning.

Seals are pretty much the equivalent of Batman but military, not vigilanty.

So this blog is going to be about... Everything. Haha
a. just read another good book
b. I love the military (esp. Navy)
c. working out

a. I just read True Devotion the first in the series Uncommon Heroes by Dee Henderson. It was really good. Yep it was a cute silly love story, BUT... it also had a really cool plot including arms dealers and Navy Seals!! oh yeah. Great book, I can't wait to start the next one.

b. Yes, just finished that great book, all about Navy Seals. Oh My... My dad was in the Navy as was my grandpa and his brothers but it must really be in your blood bc it wasn't like it was all we talked about and did and my dad got out when I was like 6-7 but still I Love it. All things Navy related. I've even considered joining... but... idk, I don't think that is what God has for me right now. Anyways...

c. so reading this book with the seals and it just gives pieces of huge work outs they do to be ready and then the mission its self is so taxing... I just felt lazy and fat reading about that so... I decided to work out today. haha yep go running/walking. I didn't do much but I did something and felt a little less lazy. Maybe that is a good reason for not joining... boot camp would be .... crazy.

Other than that... not much going on here at school... classes don't start till Monday. can't wait to start the next book. (the chick is a naval aviator....ahhh she's a beast. and I bet they will fall in love and live happily ever after. well after fighting the bad guys)

haha way too long of a blog about nothing.
--smooth sailing

Friday Friday gotta get down on.... NO!!

Ok, yes my awesome roommate Marta came and hung out for awhile. But... now I'm bored and I think that this is going to be an evening of ADD. I have a book, nail painting, snacks, painting, list making, knitting and cleaning all as possibilties to entertain myself this evening, oh while watching a movie!! =] haha  I know... I go a little crazy when I'm bored and in an apartment alone. (oooo I like the sound of that, Apartment... oh yeah. senior year of college baby) =D well peace out and to you...
I hope your friday is more eventful.

p.s. I've read like 8 or so books since the last book post... but just haven't gotten around to bolgging any thing about them. and prolly won't because nobody really reads this lol =]

books books books

Since the last post I have read 2 more books.-bringing my grand total of summer 2011 reading, to 6 books!-
Fancy Pants by: Cathy Marie Hake
Measure of a Lady by: Deeanne Gist

Fancy pants was a really cute story and really funny at times. Loved it.
Measure of a Lady was also really good. I got annoyed at the main character's single mindedness and ignorance but it all worked out in the end. (as it always does)

Both were very good. Both were chick flicks, romantic silly stories where the super fabulous guy always gets his amazing girl. I tore through each in less than 3 days. I love these easy read christian-romance books but sometimes....  sometimes it's just too much. lol
-My roommates will tell you, of the bunch of us, I'm the cynic -
These books can make a young lady dream up a huge ridiculous tale of her own that is scarcely distinguishable from the story she just read and it is nice for a time then... I just turn into a cynic. Yes, the story is nice but it isn't real life. It's a story. Silly fluff that's all. Too bad bc that was a nice story. lol
Now onto something a bit less.... fluff.... hmmm.... I'd say something classic something like... Shakespeare but that isn't much better dang Romeo and Juliet....

Happy reading

Summer Reading List

So do you remember from childhood when your mom would take you to the library in summer and you would get like a reading list of books for your age and reading level and a "cool" book mark. Yes, well those days are over and I don't really mind. I never read but 2-3 books on that list all summer. I am NOT a reader. Even if I find a decent book that I mostly like it takes me forever to read, I am a slow reader and picky. I only like really interesting things that grab your attention right off the bat. That being said, I have read 4 books already this summer and it is just the end of June. =] I'll tell you what I've read and try to make a list of more, to keep this reading going.

Brisingr- the third book in the Inheritance cycle(eragon, eldest, brisingr, inheritance). It's about dragons and magic and I did not think I would like it. My sister had me start reading and I loved them. (you will notice, my sister is quite the reader and suggests all the books I read) I have to wait until November or something for the 4th book. I was like half way through this book but I just don't have time when I am at school to read as much as I do during the summer.

The Northern Lights Series-
(suggested by sister) These are all really great romance-ships/captains/pirates-christian-immigration-farming-community-family-friendship-marriage-babies-death-etc.kinda books (lol just listed main themes or w/e) I really liked them. the catch... it is pretty much a chick flick minus cinematography = a book. lol def chick flick books.
The Captain's Bride- so good!!
Deep Harbor- fabulous!!
Midnight Sun- awesome!!

now, book list. what to read next? suggestions are welcome!!
.....         ...   .........   ???
umm... i really don't know. sooo i'll get back to you with what is next. lol
peace and happy reading
